In 1993, Dr. Young received a MS in
nutrition from the American College in Birmingham, Alabama and in 1995 he
received his D.Sc. with emphasis in chemistry and biology. Dr. Young's doctoral
dissertation was on Disseminated Intravascular Blood Coagulation and
Pathological Blood Coagulation. In 1997, Dr. Young received a Ph.D. from
Clayton College of Natural Health. His Professor, James E. Harvey from San
Diego State University reviewed and accepted His dissertation as completing all
the requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy in Nutrition. He continued His
studies and research and in 1999. Dr. Young later received an additional
doctorate degree in naturopathy (ND) from Clayton College. For information on
the Clayton College go to www.ccnh.edu.
Dr. Young is a member of the
American Society of Microbiologists, the American Naturopathic Association, an
honary member of the Connecticut Holistic Health Association, the Presidents
Council at Brigham Young University, a consultant for InnerLight, Inc. and an
advisor to Dean Lawrence Carter at the Martin Luther King Chapel, Morehouse
College. He was honored with his wife, Shelley Redford Young, by Professor
Lawrence Carter at Morehouse College and inducted into the collegium of
scholars as well as placed on the advisory board. Professor Carter made this
statement about Dr. Young's work:
"With eight books on the market, Dr.
Robert O. Young and his wife, Shelley Redford Young, have established
themselves as the preeminent scientific researchers on how to balance the body
chemistry and achieve one's ideal weight. Every African American and African
Caribbean, every person suffering from type I and type II diabetes,
hypertension, cancer, AIDS, heart disease and youth obesity, and every person
reared on "soul food" need to discover The pH Miracle and the rejuvenating
recipes that alkalize and energize an over acidified diet.
I have made
this revolutionary dietary paradigm shift an official part of my professional
ministry because it eliminated my acid reflux without prescriptions and reduced
my weight by 50 pounds in less than two months. This reduction in weight
greatly speeded reduction of my PSA level after seeds-implant treatment for
low-grade prostate cancer. Dr. Young's nonviolent peace diet is the natural
scientific solution for a healthy body that is free from the warring of excess
acidity. With Dr. Young's new biology and nutrition program, pastors and
congregations will rediscover the miraculous link between nutrition, health and
spirituality."

Dr Young has been the
keynote speaker at medical and health gatherings all over the world and
appeared as a guest on many national radio and television shows. In 2002 he and
his wife appeared on CBS's The Early Show. Some of his most notable
accomplishments include: developer of a new theoretical paradigm called the
Mycozymian Theory; a biological process called Pleomorphism; and the discoverer
of the etiology of diabetes, cancer, and atherosclerosis.
Dr. Robert
Young has devoted his career to searching for and finding the missing pieces
necessary to complete the larger picture of health. |
Shelley Redford Young, L.M.T. |
| An extraordinary lecturer, book author, nutrition and culinary
consultant, Shelley Youngs heartfelt mission is to diminish suffering in
the world. Her approach is to aid and enlighten others by educating them on the
alkalizing principles contained in her husbands, Dr. Robert O. Young,
research. By providing appropriate tools and knowledge, Shelley is empowering
people to take responsibility for their health into their own, proactive
hands. |

With a deep awareness of the dangers of the
present-day acidic diet and its relationship to the epidemic of various
diseases such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, obesity and cancer in both
adults and especially children, she is forever looking to fi nd the most
creative ways to make an energizing alkalizing diet more appetizing, delicious
and attractive to the masses. As a result, she has authored two recipe books,
Back to the House of Health:
Rejuvenating Recipes to Alkalize and Energize for Life! and
Back to the House of Health 2 and
co-authored with her husband, Dr. Robert O. Young, four other books including
Sick and Tired? Reclaim Your
Inner Terrain, The pH Miracle: Balance
Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health, The
pH Miracle for Diabetes: The Revolutionary Diet Plan for Type 1 and Type 2
Diabetics, and The pH Miracle for
Weight Loss.
In addition, Shelley knows that, faced with changing
our diet and lifestyle, one of the first things we want to know is, What
can I eat? Therefore, as a master alkalarian chef, as she is being called
by her fans, she shares her delicious alkalizing vegetarian recipes and teaches
alkalarian food preparation classes at the Shelley Young Academy of Culinary
Arts.
Shelley Youngs knowledge of the effects of diet on our
health extends beyond her expertise as a book author and chef. A Licensed
Lymphatic Massage Therapist (LMT) and a trained microscopist, Shelley lectures
on the lymphatic system and its important role in the body. Her seminars on how
emotions affect our pH balance and presentations on the latest nutritional
research are popular events at the pH miracle retreats that she and her husband
host at their beautiful avocado ranch - Rancho Del Sol (Ranch of the Sun) - in Valley Center,
California.
Her astonishing reputation brought her not only teaching
jobs at the Womens College in Beijing, China but also an invitation to
serve on a team of scientists and nutritionists as invited members to
NASAs mission to Mars. The team will develop dietary recommendations for
the astronauts in order to prevent osteoporosis and other health imbalances
during space missions. A public figure, Shelley Redford Young has appeared on
TV, been a keynote speaker at Tony Robbins Life Mastery events and
is a regular presenter at InnerLight conventions. Shelley is also a member of
the InnerLight Foundation Association of Microcopists and has trained
under the direction of Dr. Young in all aspects of The New
Biology™.
Shelley Young has been influenced greatly by John
Robbins book Diet for a New America and is an advocate of healing
through a properly balanced way of eating, living and thinking. Always coming
from the heart, she believes that healing should be available and affordable to
all, especially children. Conscious of the effect of poor nutrition on
children, she has become and activist in influencing schools to improve school
lunch programs and to promote better health through an alkaline diet. Because
she feels so strongly about educating the next generation, she has created two
alkalarian heroes for children. These are Doc Broc and the AvoRado
Kid who are delighting children in the picture book called
Doc Broc and the StoneHinge Cave Adventure,
which Shelley has written and illustrated together with her son Adam Young.
Along with her husband Dr. Robert O. Young, Shelley Redford Young is
Co-Founder of InnerLight, Inc., and The InnerLight Biological
Research and Health and Education Foundation. This Foundation is committed
to assisting people who are dealing with debilitating diseases. The Youngs
established the foundation in order to provide valuable healing information and
to share Dr. Youngs research with the world. Their extracurricular
projects include a double-blind research study at the
University of Miami on curing diabetes as well as applying their research
to treat the wild animals at Out of Africa Wildlife
Park in Arizona.
Shelley Redford Young is the mother of four
incredible children and has one grandchild. An artist and illustrator, she
currently studies art at the Watts Atelier in Encinitas, California,
where she focuses on the human figure and childrens publications. |
